Nearly 3 miles

Yesterday, I completed day 2 of the Couch to 5K plan (C25K FREE app on iphones, highly recommend!). And at the same time that app was running, I also was using the MapMyRun app...which for the first time, tracked the total distance I was going...and it was 2.89 miles. I nearly fainted. Not from exhaustion...but from shock. Granted, the distance was an alternating run/walk but still, how could this be? How could it be I was now fit enough to do this? I'm in awe. I talk alot on here about being a better version of yourself, and its because I need to constantly remind myself of that rule. And I can tell you, its a much better way of measuring progress and gaging success.

My goal is to be able to run 1 mile on October 20th (5k walk/run lung cancer awareness Free to Breathe event) - at this rate, I'm starting to think I might be able to run the entire 3 miles.

We shall see...I'm going to take this one day at a time, one foot in front of the other. But for now, I'm loving it.
